Garry Barankin was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2001 and joined De Rubeis, Chetctui LLP that summer. Garry holds an LLB from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor Of Commerce (Honours) degree from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. His practice focuses on real estate, wills and estates planning and corporate & commercial law. He and his wife have two young children and live in Dundas.
De Rubeis, Chetcuti was established in Hamilton in 1981 by Ben De Rubeis and Patrick Chetcuti, two life long Hamiltonians who have known each either since childhood. Ben graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in 1976 and obtained his law degree from Queen’s University in 1979. In 2011 he attained his Master’s degree in Real Property Law from Osgood Hall Law School. Pat graduated from the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law in 1979 after two years of graduate studies at the University of Western Ontario. Ben and Pat both attend Cathedral High School and each have three grown children. Their practice has focused on real estate, mortgage and title insurance, as well as wills and estate planning, estate administraton and wealth protection.
In 2014 De Rubeis, Chetctui LLP and Garry Barankin became the successors to William J. Wilkins at the Dundas Law Office, which has been serving the same families over many generations.
